The season is now underway and we are beginning to see grannom and olives on the Dartmoor rivers. We should see some hawthorn flies in the next week and while this provides a short burst of sport it definitely focuses the trout’s mind.

Some steady rain would not go amiss either, as the water levels are still low with one little spate in the last few weeks.
